Our Mission
Our mission is to do our part in creating a presence for Brand Jamaica through various artistic expressions, specifically in global marketplace. To that end we write, produce, publish and promote products and initiatives that present Jamaica – Land we love. We seek to create partnerships between international and local agencies to monetize Jamaica’s indigenous artistic forms and elements to ensure that Jamaica benefits monetarily from her intellectual properties.
We have made it our mandate to create the capital needed to erect the necessary infrastructure to preserve and maintain Jamaica’s rich cultural heritage, and her civic and educational institutions by collaborating with various agencies in Jamaica.
Endorsements
One key part of our mission is to forge partnerships with civic institutions and agencies in Jamaica in order to lend financial support. To that end, we will be seeking endorsements from, and hope to work closely with the following agencies: The Jamaica Defense Force (JDF), Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC), Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB), Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA), JAMPRO, Edna Manley College and The University of The West Indies (UWI).
History
Jamaica Lives is a concept which comes from a poem, of the same name, written, produced and presented by Wayne D Russell, Executive Director of LyricSurge Records LLC and the author of Truly Pertinent Questions. Jamaica Lives © tells Russell’s story – it is the story of a soldier, and a patriot seen through unique lenses, and a set against a cultural and historical backdrop.
